I’m sure that people can’t live without music. They listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. Music is everywhere: at home and in the streets, on the radio and on TV, in the shops and in the parks.
Music is not only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people's ideas and emotions.
Nowadays singers and songs become popular very quickly thanks to special radio programs and TV channels. Many people prefer listening to Europe+ , Autoradio, Russian Radio. The most favourite TV channel is MTV.
Different people like different kinds of music. You may prefer pop or rock music, country or folk music, classical music or jazz. Some of them appeared long ago, and some are modern.
For example, folk music appeared long ago, but it is still alive. There are many folk singers in Russia; for example, Nadezhda Babkina. Folk songs are very tuneful and pleasant to listen to.
Rap is a modern musical style where the singer speaks the words to music.
Dance music, in my opinion, is catchy and it makes people more energetic.
Heavy metal is very noisy.
Jazz is a mixture of many different kinds of music.
As for me, it depends on my mood what music I want to listen to at the moment.
But I prefer ROCK music. I think that it is breathtaking and full of energy. It helps me to relax when I'm tired.
My favourite singers are__________ and______________. My favourite band is __________. I think they are very talented. Their music is wonderful and exciting.
Besides, I can play the guitar and I like it very much.
